Paul Brown - Chairman

break Paul grew up in the UK and has over 30 years experience in the financial services industry. He is currently an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (having attained the professional qualification in 1982).
Prior to establishing his own consultancy practice in 2003, Paul spent 25 years with the Barclays Group, spending the early part of his career in retail and commercial banking, both in the UK and offshore.
In 1986 he joined their investment banking arm, Barclays de Zoete Wedd, at a time of significant structural change in the City of London and where he specialized in compliance relating to private clients and derivatives. Two years later he joined, and eventually led, a group within Barclays that focused on providing innovative structured finance to the investment banking industry.
In 1992 Paul moved to Hong Kong to join Barclay’s private banking arm as CEO, Asia Pacific. There he led the launch of many new products and the significant expansion of the bank’s operations and was also a member of the regional investment banking executive committee. He then returned to Europe to become CEO of Barclays Bank (Suisse) S.A. Based in Geneva, he was responsible for private banking in all of the European and Asian markets.
Paul became a Director of the Allard Partners group in 2004. Since his appointment as Chairman in October 2005 he is now charged with overseeing many aspects of Allard’s corporate governance, operational development and client relations.
